About Item Girl Rakhi Sawant

The sensational Item number girl belongs to a middle class family in Mumbai; her father is a cop in Mumbai Police. While Rakhi was still in High School, she was approached for a role in ‘Agni Chakra’ and it was with this movie that she made her debut in Bollywood. Rakhi was encouraged by her mother who couldn’t fulfill her dream of becoming an actress and wanted her daughter to liveup to her dream. Rakhi acted in a couple of movies and began her career as item girl in Govinda’s ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’. Rakhi underwent a complete makeover and was relaunched in ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne’. Although, the actress had a small role in the movie, she got the opportunity to do an item number with Zayed Khan.
Since the beginning of her career, Rakhi Sawant has always maintained a very bold image and flaunts her hourglass figure in skimpy clothes, which was never accepted by her dad who finally asked the actress to leave his house. That didn’t stop Rakhi as she continued doing item numbers.
